Supalite Victorian Tiled Conservatory Roofs
Victorian designed conservatories are a period size and shape. These shapes are usually found in older homes but can also be an option for a new conservatory. A Victorian style conservatory gives you many options for where your doors would be. Victorian style conservatories usually have vaulted ceilings, with a rounded front appearance. With a tiled roof your conservatory would look more attractive due to its internal plaster finish.
Supalite Edwardian Tiled Conservatory Roofs
Like the Victorian design, Edwardian conservatories have vaulted ceilings, the difference is, that Edwardian conservatories have a rectangular floor to maximise the space. To bring your Edwardian conservatory into the modern world, you can make use of a tiled conservatory roof as this shape is suitable for many different types of homes. Supalite Gable End Tiled Conservatory Roofs
A gable roof is a great way to exaggerate the illusion of height as it is a dramatic design element. The sloped panels fading into the background creates a centrepiece for your conservatory. The gable-front of the roof increases the light coming into the room, with a vaulted ceiling that makes the room feel larger.
Supalite Lean To Tiled Conservatory Roofs
A lean to roof is the most simple shape of conservatory roof and is a single sloped roof that joins onto the main property. Older lean to conservatories were often installed with very simple corrugated plastic roofs, so a tiled lean to roof conversion, can make a huge difference. Supalite Combination Tiled Conservatory Roofs
A combination roof, also known as a P or T-shaped conservatory, is one of the best styles you could have for a conservatory as it offers more flexibility. You can combine many different roofing styles to create your desired look. This is a way for you to maximise the use of your conservatory and extend your living space.

The SupaLite roofing system uses lightweight material, which ensures that we do not have to make any changes to the base of your conservatory.
This process ensures that you get the use of your conservatory quickly and all year round. We do not need to rebuild the base of your conservatory; we in turn make use of the existing structure as we use tiles that are lightweight. We go through our process giving you information on each step we take to get you a more functional living space, not only for conservatories but also for orangeries.
- We first check the existing roof to make sure the frame is square before installing the eaves beam. We prep the eaves beam before this with the under clad soffit. Special bolts slide into the beam before we secure the corner joints. Multi-angle cleats keep the eaves joints together and secure.
- We prepare the rafters by sliding cleats and bolts onto the slots provided. Wall plates are fixed on either side of the ridge plate. The valley attaches to the wall and ridge plates, we then attach the rafters to the eaves when in place.
- We slide bolts onto the hip and attach them to the multi-angle ridge bracket, making sure the hip points towards the centre of the jack ridge. We slide the cleats onto both sides of the hip securing the underside of the jack rafters. Our installer repeats these steps until all rafters are secure.
- After this we place the guttering and fascias to the box cutter using the provided box cutter bracket. We use waterproof tape and a sealant on the box cutter to ensure we have a tight seal to make it easier to fit.
- We install the insulation externally to secure the labelled plywood to the guttering and rafters. We then install a waterproof membrane and the eaves.
- Next we install vertical battens to ensure constant airflow between the tiles and the plywood to prevent condensation. We add the metal tiles starter cleat; we then attach the barge soaker to the battening with a high quality adhesive.
- We place the tiles on your solid conservatory roof replacement, making sure to secure and position them over the soaker. We lock the first row of tiles into the starter cleat. We ensure the tiles are interlocked by installing them from right to left.
- When the tiles have all been placed we hang the barge over the soaker, screwing the barge onto the fascia board. We add battens to the roof so that we can fix the ridge caps.
- Finally we can finish the inside by using aluminium foil to close any gaps in the insulation and adding horizontal battens. We install insulated plaster board which we then skim and paint to complete the ceiling.
